The turntable

I have constructed the turntable after my own idea.

This resust in a different construction as in reality.
In my model the big sprocket rotates and is the e-motor placed in the undercarriage.
In reality the big sprocket is connected to the undercarriage and the motor is in the superstructure.

I had the big brass sprocket still lying from the LTM1800 project.
It is made of a brass ring where teeth are made in.

In the hart I made a tube which make it possible to pull the big sprocket, which has also the function of ball bearing, against the chassis.
Below the chassis plate is a second ballbearing on which the contactrings push, fixed by a nut.

Through the tube run the electrical wires from the contact rings to the superstructure.
In the same space is the two channel oil "pipe".

The diameter of the upper ballbearing is made as large as possible to give maximum stability.
