The chassis
is made of two sheets of iron, 3.2mm thick, in the length of the crane.
The transverse connections are formed by the outrigger beams and the beam
between axle 2 and 3, resp. axle 4 and 5.
On the upper side is a plate for the turntable. This plate is 3.2 mm thick.
On this the turntable rotates and it has to disperse all forces to the
rest of the model.
The connections between the plates, the suspension and the cabin floor
are welded.
